Composing, at its deepest moments, feels less like an act of making and more like an act of listening and receiving—to me, it is an encounter with something larger than oneself. One is granted access to a shared source of potentiality. In those moments, music arrives as a gift, not a possession, and its true purpose is fulfilled when it is shared and passed on.

Chess In Motion 2025
Indoor Percussion Show - Composer, arranger and program coordinator.
Commissioned by Got Motion, an indoor percussion ensemble in Gothenburg, Sweden. The work draws extensively on Symphony in C minor, VB 142 (1783) by Joseph Martin Kraus, reimagined for percussion ensemble and supplemented with original compositional material.
Sketches of a jungle 2024
Indoor Percussion Show - Composer and program coordinator
At the beginning of this show, I immersed myself in recordings of the jungle. From its unbroken breath of sound, a rhythmic motif revealed itself which became the introduction. The show reflects the life of the jungle in all its contrasts: birth and death, silence and movement, calm and the drama of the hunt.
Waves 2022
Indoor Percussion Show - Composer and program coordinator
This show portrays the nature of waves. It begins with their soothing, meditative presence and gradually unfolds into a full-scale storm. The piece carries a poetic dimension, suggesting the waves as living entities—beings that breathe, speak, and move with intention. “Can you hear them, their voices?”
